RECOMMENDATION
• Pre-drill all screw connections
which are indicated by the following symbol:
WOOD
• Wood is a natural product. Varied colouring, knurls and crack formation are normal and have
no influence on the structural integrity.
• Shrinkage cracks may occur due to extreme weather, especially after extended
warm periods. These dry cracks are in no way a defect in quality but are a part of the natural
appearance of the wood. Depending on the weather, these cracks may close up again to a
minimum.
Moreover, these dry cracks, which form longitudinally in the wood, have no effect
on the strength and resilience of the material.
WOOD PRESERVATION FOR UNTREATED PRODUCTS
• Untreated wood requires wood preservation measures.
For professional wood preservation treatment, contact a wood preservative expert.
Before assembly, we recommend that you treat all untreated wood components with blue stain
and then with a wood protection agent. Regular painting according to the
specifications of the manufacturer of the wood protection agent is necessary to protect the wood.
• The customer is responsible for carrying out wood preservation measures.
No guarantee can be given if the wood is not properly preserved.

GUARANTEE PROVISIONS FROM WEKA HOLZBAU GMBH
We provide a five-year guarantee of proper function from delivery on the following conditions –
applying exclusively
to the wood parts in our products (called the weka product here) and not to related components or
elements of the weka product made of a materials other than wood.
Within the guarantee period, defective parts or missing parts of the goods or the goods themselves will
be replaced at our discretion.
The guarantee covers only free replacement of the defective or broken piece of wood.
The guarantee does not include consequential or additional costs, in particular no delivery, assembly
or rebuilding costs.
The guarantee is void if:
- the assembly instructions were not properly followed
- changes (add-ons or conversions) to the products have been made
that are not detailed in the assembly instructions
- the stated load limits (e.g. snow load etc.) have been exceeded
- the weka product has been incorrectly set up (foundation/base plate, etc.), in particular
in the event of violations of the rules of architecture
- the wood is not or insufficiently cared for (maintenance: wood preservation, wood
