Charging the cordless sweeper
N.B. The batteries are not charged when you buy your cordless sweeper.
•
The cordless sweeper operates with nickel-cadmium batteries. The batteries must
be charged for at least 24 hours before the sweeper is used for the first time.
•
Connect the charging unit to the jack (7) at the side of the sweeper. Then plug
the charging unit in to the socket.
•
Make sure the sweeper is switched off before charging.
•
The charging pilot light (3) on top of the brush base (1) lights up to show the
appliance is charging properly.
•
Once the batteries have been fully charged, the cordless sweeper can be used
for up to 60 minutes per charging (whatever the surface or flooring to be swept)
before it has to be recharged.
•
Repeat the charging process. Charging time depends on how much the unit has
been used between charges.
N.B. Best results are obtained after the unit has been charged (and allowed to dis-
charge) several times.
Important: To ensure optimum functioning we recommend that the batteries are
allowed to discharge completely and recharged at least once a month.
