GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SWEEPER
Start your sweeper with the On/Off switch. The brushes have hard nylon bristles.
The rechargeable sweeper features two brushes and two dust boxes. There are two
windows so you can monitor brush movement and the amount of dust in the dust
traps. Before starting, fit the aluminium shaft and the handle into the sweeper.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
N.B. Read the instructions carefully before using the sweeper. Keep the instructions
for future reference.
Important: The sweeper is for domestic use only.
•
Use only as described in this manual. Only use accessories recommended by the
manufacturers.
•
Never use with a damaged cord or plug. Do not use the sweeper if it has been
damaged, left outdoors or has come in contact with water.
•
Never tug the charger unit out of the socket by the cord.
•
Keep the charger cord away from heated surfaces.
•
This product includes rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. Never throw
batteries in the fire or expose them to high temperatures, as they may explode.
•
Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
•
Do not push any objects into openings. Never use if any of the openings are
blocked. Keep the sweeper free of dust, fluff and hair.
•
Keep loose clothing, hair, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts.
•
Never let children play with the appliance. Supervision is essential when children
use or are near the appliance.
•
Never sweep up: ash, cigarette ends etc.; anything liquid (e.g. wet carpet sham-
poo); hard, pointed objects (e.g. broken glass)
•
Do not attempt to change accessories while the unit is running.
•
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
•
Never sweep up flammable liquids such as petrol or use near such substances.
•
Do not use the charger with an extension cable. Plug charger direct into an
electrical outlet. Use charger only in a standard (230V / 50 Hz) socket.
•
Charge and store the rechargeable sweeper only in closed rooms. Put your
rechargeable sweeper away after using it to prevent accidents.
•
The batteries could leak under extreme climatic conditions. If the battery fluid –
comprising a 20–35% potassium hydroxide solution – comes in contact with the
skin, wash immediately with water and neutralise with a mild acid like lemon
juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes rinse immediately with clean
water for at least 10 minutes and contact your doctor.
•
Only use the sweeper on dry surfaces indoors.
