Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Lindy 280m Signal Repeater for 42710. This product has been designed to
provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime
technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future
reference.
The Lindy 280m Signal Repeater extends the distance between four USB peripheral devices and the
computer up to distances of 280m (918.62ft). It connects to the transmitter and receiver unit of the USB
2.0 Extender No. 42710 by using Cat.6 UTP or higher network cables. Up to 240m (787.39ft) distance can
be reached if Cat.5e UTP/STP cabling is used.

Installation
•
Connect one LAN port of the Signal Repeater to the transmitter of the 4 Port USB 2.0 Extender No.
42710 and the other LAN port to the receiver unit of No. 42710 using Cat.5e/6 or higher cables.

For a distance of 280m, please connect two 140m Cat. 6 UTP cables; for a distance of 240m, please
connect two 120m Cat.5e UTP/STP cables with the USB 2.0 Extender No. 42710. It is also possible
to connect shorter cables on each side of the installation. Please read the manual of the USB 2.0
Extender No. 42710 for more details on its installation.

Then connect the power adapter to the Signal Repeater.

The Signal Repeater is now correctly installed.
Please note that Cat.x cables are not included.
