■ Never use in front of surfaces made from glass or plastic.
■ Only activate the steam release button when the water reservoir is fi lled with water as
otherwise the water pump may be damaged and the useful service life of the device
may be shortened.
1. Attach the attachment you want (see the "Attaching / Removing Attachments" chapter).
2. Pour water into the water reservoir (13) (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" chapter).
4. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
5. Hold down the On / Off switch (5) for around 3 seconds. The control lamp (2) fl ashes
and the device starts to heat up. If the control lamp is lit constantly, the device has
reached operating temperature.
CAUTION – Danger of scalding! Only use the device once the control lamp is
no longer fl ashing. Operating temperature has then been reached. If the device is
used before the control lamp is constantly lit, hot water may escape.
6. Set the steam level you want by pressing the On / Off switch several times. There are
three steam levels which are displayed via the colour of the control lamp:
green
blue
red
7. Move in strokes over the fabric and press the steam release button (3) at regular
intervals as you do so. When the device is used without an attachment or with the
brush attachment (10), make sure that the steam bottom (9) or the brush attachment
touches the fabric.
To obtain a constant emission of steam, slide the locking switch down. The steam
release button is fi xed in place. To release the steam release button again, slide the
locking switch up again.
If the control lamp starts to fl ash during use, the device is reheating. Do not press
the steam release button during the heating process (if necessary release the
locking switch) in order not to slow this down and to prevent a danger of scalding
from hot water which may escape. Wait until the control lamp is constantly lit again.
8. If steam stops being produced, the water reservoir is empty. Allow the device to cool
down for a few minutes and then top up the water reservoir again (see the "Filling the
Water Reservoir" chapter). Never use the device without water to prevent damage
to the device!
3. Insert the water reservoir into the holder for the water res-
ervoir (8). Insert it so that the arrow marked on the device
points towards the
clockwise so that the arrow marked points towards the
position. The water reservoir is now fi xed in the holder.
