use the kettle. Keep these
operating instructions in
a safe place and enclose
them with the kettle when it
is handed on.
INTENDED USE
This kettle is intended to
be used exclusively to heat
water (not milk, instant
drinks, etc.) on a domestic
scale.
If the kettle is used in a
manner other than its
intended use, or if it is
incorrectly operated, severe
injuries may occur or the
kettle may be damaged. All
warranty and liability claims
will be rendered null and
void in this case.
FUNCTIONS
The kettle allows you to
heat water to four pre
defined target temperatures
(70°C, 80°C, 95°C and
100°C).
Your kettle has a limescale
filter to prevent lime-scale
deposits from inside the
jug being poured out with
the water. The kettle also
features boildry protection
to prevent it from overheat
ing if the water in the jug is
below the minimum fill level.

BEFORE USING THE
APPLIANCE FOR THE
FIRST TIME
Follow the steps below
before using your kettle for
the first time:
WARNING: Risk of
electric shock:
Only use the kettle if there
is no visible damage to
the mains cable, base and
jug.
• Set the base (2) down
on a flat, non-skid surface
close to a mains socket.
• Unwind the mains
cable (1) to the required
length.
• Keep any excess length
of mains cable stored in the
cord storage compartment
provided on the underside
of the base, and pass the
cable through one of the
two cord exits.

Plug the mains cable
into the socket.
• Open the lid of the jug (3)
by sliding a finger under the
lid release (7) and pulling
it up.
• Rinse out the jug with
cold, clear water.

Fill the jug up to the
maximum fill level (marked
"max." on the water level
indicator (5)) with clear
water.

Place the jug on the
base and press the "100°C"
temperature button (4.4).
• Wait until the kettle
switches off automatically
after reaching the target
temperature.
• Use the handle (6) to lift
the jug off the base and
then pour out the water.
• Repeat this process with
fresh water.

physical process and does

into the socket.
• Open the lid of the jug (3)
by sliding a finger under the
lid release (7) and pulling
it up.
• Fill the jug with the
desired quantity of clear
water. Note the minimum
and maximum water levels
(marked with "min." and
"max." on the water level
indicator (5)).
