5. Intended Use

The Maxxfire is intended for lighting char-
coal. The coals are ignited with the heating
wires, after that the embers are fanned with
the built-in fan until the embers glow well.
For best results, please make sure that
small pieces of charcoal are touching the
heating wire sufficiently.
If you want to use briquettes for grilling,
please light up a small amount of charcoal
first before adding the briquettes for opti-
mum embers.

6. Use

Operate the switch (5) to turn on the

Maxxfire. The fan will start blowing.

Push and hold the plunger (2) to extend

the heating element (1). While the heat-
ing element is extended the fan stops.

The extended heating element activates

automatically. (Fig. C)
Do not touch the hot heating wires!

Hold the plunger (2) and push the

extended heating element (1) into the
coals with the glowing wires. Make sure
only the heating element is inserted into
the coals. (Fig. E)
After a few minutes the coals over the

heating wires start to glow. (Fig. F)
Allow the plunger (2) to slide back out.

The heating element (1) retracts into
the housing. (Fig. G)
Fan the embers with the air stream of

the Maxxfire. Do not leave the Maxxfire
unattended! (Fig. H)
Continue fanning the embers until all

coals are lighted. (Fig. I)
7. Charging and inserting the
Battery
Connect the power adaptor of the charger
to a suitable wall socket. The LED on the
charger lights up green. Insert the battery
into the charger. Make sure the battery is
correctly aligned. The LED on the charger
light up red, after the battery is fully charged
the LED switches back to green.

Insert the battery into the handle of the
Maxxfire. Make sure the battery is correctly
aligned. The battery must snap into place
with an audible click. Do not use force. If the
battery can not be inserted, check the align-
ment and try again.
To remove the battery press the locking
latches at the sides of the battery and pull
the battery out of the handle of the
Maxxfire.
8. Maintenance, Cleaning and
Storing
Before cleaning the Maxxfire allow it to fully
cool down. Clean the Maxxfire with a dry or
soft moistened cloth. Never use abrasives
or aggressive chemicals. Do not allow liq-
uids to enter the Maxxfire and do not
immerse the Maxxfire into liquids of any
kind.
Keep the air inlet and the nozzle clean at all
times.
Store the Maxxfire indoors in a dry place
that is protected from dust, dirt and extreme
temperatures and of reach of children.
