Danger!
When using the equipment, a few safety precautions
must be observed to avoid injuries and damage.
Please read the complete operating instructions and
safety regulations with due care. Keep this manual in
a safe place, so that the information is available at all
times. If you give the equipment to any other person,
hand over these operating instructions and safety
regulations as well. We cannot accept any liability for
damage or accidents which arise due to a failure to
follow these instructions and the safety instructions.
1. Safety information
Check that the appliance has been delivered in
n
perfect condition. If it has suffered any damage,
do not connect the appliance to the power supply.
Check the appliance, particularly the mains lead,
n
for signs of damage every time before use. If you
find signs of damage, contact your customer
service center.
Place the mains cable so that there is no danger
n
of tripping over the cable.
Do not guide the mains cable over hot parts of the
n
appliance during operation.
Never use the mains cable to pull the power plug
n
out of the socket-outlet! Never use the mains
cable to carry the appliance or try to move the
appliance by pulling the mains cable.
Never wind the mains cable around the fan
n
heater.
Never jam the mains cable between objects, or
n
pull the cable over sharp edges, or place the cable
over hot plates or open flames.
Not suitable for commercial purposes.
n
Use the appliance in enclosed rooms only.
n
Never open the appliance or touch live parts –
n
danger of fatal accident!
Never immerse the appliance in water – danger
n
of fatal accident!
Do not place the appliance near wet rooms or wet
n
areas (bathroom, shower room, swimming pool,
etc.). It must not be possible for the control
elements to be touched by a person in a shower,
a vessel filled with liquid or the bathtub.
Never use the appliance with wet hands.
n
Position the appliance in such a way that the
n
mains plug is accessible at all times.
If the appliance is not used for a lengthy period of
n
time, disconnect it from the mains supply.
Do not position the appliance directly below a
n
socket.
For supervised operation only.
n
If the appliance is used for a lengthy time the
n

housing can become very hot. Position the
appliance in such a way as to prevent accidental
touching.
Never position the appliance on deep pile carpets.
n
Do not use the appliance in rooms in which
n
inflammable materials (for example solvents, etc.)
or gases are used or stored.
Keep highly inflammable substances and gases
n
away from the appliance.
Do not use in areas where there is a fire risk (for
n
example wooden sheds).
Only use the radiator with its mains lead fully
n
extended.
Not suitable for installation on permanently
n
installed electrical cables.
Do not use the appliance for animal husbandry or
n
livestock breeding.
Do not insert any foreign objects in the applianceʼs
n
openings.
- Danger of electric shock and damage to the
appliance.
Keep children and people on medication or under
n
the influence of alcohol away from the appliance.
Maintenance and repair work may only be carried
n
out by authorized trained personnel.
Warning! Do not cover the appliance – fire risk!

Pay attention to the symbol on the appliance (fig.
2).
When mounting the appliance in a bathroom, be
n
sure to observe the safety distances stipulated in
your country. It must not be possible for the control
elements to be touched by a person in a shower, a
vessel filled with liquid or the bathtub. In Germany
the appliance may not be mounted within
protection zone 0, 1 or 2 (in order to comply with
VDE 0100 Part 701) (fig. 3). Please refer to the
regulations in your country.
For electrical safety purposes provide separate
n
fusing for the equipment (10 A) and install a
residual current device circuit-breaker (RCD).
This equipment can be used by children of 8 years
n
and older and by people with limited physical,
sensory or mental capacities or those with no
experience and knowledge if they are supervised
or have received instruction in how to use the
equipment safely and understand the dangers
which result from such use. Children are not
allowed to play with the equipment. Unless
supervised, children are not allowed to clean the
equipment and carry out user-level maintenance
work.
Children younger than 3 years must be kept

away unless they are continuously supervised
Children of 3 years and younger than 8 years are
