Für die Dauer des Anschlusses und der Gerätemontage ist der
Minuspol der Batterie abzuklemmen.
Achtung! Die Sicherheitshinweise des Kfz- Herstellers (Alarm-
anlagen, Wegfahrsperren, Airbag) beachten!
Montage der Tunerbox
Die Tunerbox in der Nähe des Autoradios mit den beiliegenden Klett-
bändern befestigen z. B. an der Innenseite der Mittelkonsole.
Anschluß der Tunerbox an den TP DX-N
Der Anschluß erfolgt wie in der Abbildung gezeigt (siehe Fig. 1).
Hinweis:
Wurde das Verbindungskabel 8 604 492 522 (gehört zum Lieferum-
fang des DX-N) bei der Montage des TravelPilot DX-N nicht mit ver-
legt, muß das jetzt erfolgen.
Anschluß der Antenne
Die Antennenleitung vom Radio abziehen und die Tunerbox mit den 2
HF-Adapterkabeln dazwischen schalten (siehe Fig. 1).
Anschluß des Massekabels
Das Gehäuse der Tunerbox muß mit dem Gehäuse des Radios über
das beiliegende Massekabel verbunden werden. Benutzen Sie eine
der 4 Torxschrauben der Deckelbefestigung, um das Massekabel mit
der Tunerbox zu verbinden. (siehe Fig. 1).
Achtung: Verwenden Sie keine andere Schraube um das Masse-
kabel an der Tunerbox zu befestigen, da es sonst zu einer Be-
schädigung der Leiterplatte kommen kann.
Der Anschluß am Autoradio erfolgt über den Massebolzen. Sollte das
Autoradio keinen Rückwandbolzen besitzen, muß das Massekabel am
Fahrzeugchassis angeschraubt werden.

Installation and connection instructions
The negative terminal of the battery must be disconnected
throughout the installation and connection process.
N.B. Observe the vehicle manufacturer's safety instructions
(for alarm systems, immobilisers and airbags).
Installing the Tunerbox
Mount the Tunerbox close to the car radio, e.g. behind the central
console, using the Velcro strips supplied.
Connecting the Tunerbox to the TP DX-N
Connect as shown in the illustration (see Fig. 1).
Note:
Connecting cable 8 604 492 522 (included with the DX-N) must be
laid at this point, unless already fitted when the TravelPilot DX-N was
installed.
Connecting the antenna
Disconnect the antenna cable from the radio and connect the Tuner-
box between the antenna and the radio, using the two HF adapter
cables supplied (see Fig. 1).
Connecting the earth cable
The enclosed ground wire must be used to connect the tuner box hou-
sing with the radio housing. To connect the ground wire with the tuner
box, use one of the 4 Torx screws holding the cover (see fig. 1).
Warning: Do not use a different screw for attaching the ground
wire to the tuner box, since otherwise the PCB may suffer dama-
ge.
On the radio side, the ground wire is connected to the radio's GND
bolt. In the event that the radio has no such bolt on the rear side, the
ground wire must be screwed to the vehicle chassis.
