INSTALLATION AND TEST START-UP
1.
Remove hoist from the box and check for any visible damage. Ensure there is no
damage to any of the elements.
2.
Make sure all elements are in working order. Also make sure that all nuts are
tightened, then mount device on appropriate load bearing steel profile and con-
nect to the power source.
3.
In order to ensure appropriate safety levels, once the electric hoist and the
traverse mechanism are switched on, check the electric power supply source.
The operator should maintain an appropriate distance from the traverse motion
mechanism, and is forbidden to perform test start-ups under that device.

SAFETY GUIDELINES:

1.
The device has to be operated by qualified personnel trained within the scope of
the applicable safety rules.
2.
Before using the device, the operator has to perform a test start-up without load
and check the following elements:
Whether the switch permits the load to be lifted, lowered and arrested at any
time.
Whether the traverse mechanism traverses freely and without obstructions.
Whether any unusual noises occur during operation of the electric hoist.
Whether it is possible to coil and uncoil the cable freely.

3.
Lifting loads which exceed the lifting capacity is forbidden.
4.
Do not tilt suspended loads and to not drag loads along the ground.
5.
Do not use the device outside when it is raining or in unfavourable weather
conditions.
6.
People and animals are forbidden to stand or pass under a suspended load (or
near it). Do not lift people or animals using this device.
7.
Do not leave a suspended lead unsupervised.
8.
Once suspended, balance the weight suspended on the sheave pulley.
9.
The limiting switch guarantees safety and protects against overloading the hoist.
10. During operation use the break carefully, so as to prevent the load from drop-
ping. Ensure automatic elements are properly greased. Check the device every
time it is switched on.
11. Do not leave leads suspended on the hook for a long time, as this may damage
the device or cause accidents.
12. Make sure the cable is not too loose. The cable has to be coiled properly to
avoid damage. If the cable is worn out, it should be replaced.
13. Ensure every articulated part is properly greased. Every six months apply grease
to the following elements: hook, cable axis, transmission, bearing, etc.
14. Regularly, usually once a year, carry out maintenance works in order to ensure
the electric hoist remains in good working order.
15. Attention: The motor of this electric hoist works in a S3-20% 10 Min system.
Therefore a work cycle spans 10 Min., where the device is in operation for 2
minutes and then is at rest for 8 minutes. The device may not be used under a
non-stop operation mode.
