USER GUIDE
Dear customer,
Congratulations on purchasing this state-of-the-art DAB and FM digital radio with alarm functions. You'll find
it's user friendly, and gives excellent reception. Please read these instructions carefully before using your new
radio, to familiarize yourself with it and ensure that you use it safely. It's particularly important that you read
the safety requirements to avoid damage and accidents, and we recommend keeping these instructions in a
safe place for future reference.
SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
• Do not use the radio near water or other liquids, such as baths, sinks, and swimming pools.
• Clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
• Place the radio in a well ventilated area, and keep it away from heat sources such as cookers, radiators, and
amplifiers.
• Place it in a position where it cannot fall over, and nothing can fall onto it.
• Unplug the radio during thunderstorms to prevent damage from power surges.
WARNING:
> Make sure the plug and power cable are easily accessible, so the unit can be switched off quickly if necessary.
> Do not expose batteries to heat, direct sunlight, or flames.
> To avoid electric shocks, do not expose the unit to rain or high humidity, or place water-filled containers on
top of it.
• The radio is powered by a 5-volt mains adapter (included) or four C alkaline batteries (not included). Do not
throw batteries away with your normal household waste: ask your local authority for details of safe, environ-
ment-friendly disposal methods.
• Never throw them into a fire or expose them to very high temperatures.
• If someone swallows a battery, see a doctor immediately.
• Always insert batteries with the correct +/- polarity.
• Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
LOOKING AFTER THE MAINS ADAPTER
For best performance,
• never unplug the radio by pulling on the cable, and don't wrap the cable around the adapter, as this may
cause damage.
• Store it as it was in the original packaging.
• Don't leave the cable where people might trip over it.
• If necessary, test the batteries to ensure they are providing an adequate power supply.
