Select a suitable location for the appliance (see also the chapter Require-
ments for the set up location).

In passenger cars you should place the appliance on the back seat or on the
front passenger seat. The appliance must then be secured with the seat belt:

Flip open the freezer compartment lid up and loosen the chain.
♦
Place the seat belt such that the diagonal belt runs behind the lid and the lap
belt lies both at the front and in the guides for the seat belt
belt to engage in the snap lock.

Hang the chain back on and close the freezer compartment lid. Thereby
ensure that the chain is not trapped between the freezer compartment lid
and the coolbox.
NOTICE
►
If you secure the cooler with a seat belt in the middle of the back seat, it is
not necessary to remove the chain. Simply run the belt just under the chain,
such that it is fi tted into the guides for the seat belt
seat belt to engage in the snap lock.

If securement of the appliance by means of the seat belt is not possible, the
appliance may not be transported in the passenger compartment, instead,
it must be stowed in the boot. Secure the appliance against uncontrolled
movements in the boot also, appropriate to the vehicle type. For this use
suitable straps or netting, so that also in accident situations the appliance
can present no risks to the occupants.

IMPORTANT
The cigar lighters of some car manufacturers supply electricity even when the
ignition is switched off .

Therefore, switch the appliance off or disconnect it from the power supply
when you leave the vehicle. Otherwise, the car's battery could be drained
to the extent that the vehicle cannot be started!
