REC: the record mode is active during the set time when ON is selected. OFF means nothing will happen.
SEN: sensitivity level, ranges from 1 to 5:
for motion detection: 1: maximum sensitivity ; 5:minimum sensitivity
for sensor input: 1: 0.2 sec. (Sensor triggers recording and alarm after 0.2 sec.)
2: 0.5 sec. (Sensor triggers recording and alarm after 0.5 sec.)
3: 1 sec. (Sensor triggers recording and alarm after 3 sec.)
4: 2 sec. (Sensor triggers recording and alarm after 2 sec.)
5: 5 sec. (Sensor triggers recording and alarm after 5 sec.)
TYP: sensor type: NC (Normally Closed) or NO (Normally Open) sensor alarm.
d. ALARM OUTPUT
In the main menu, select ALARM OUTPUT and press <ENTER>. The
screen at the right appears:
Upon an "event" (motion detection, sensor trigger, video loss), the DVR4QAF can not only record but also switch on
its buzzer and send out a signal through a relay switch: 2 types of alarm relay outputs are available: Normally Closed
(NC) and Normally Open (NO): (see also DB9 connector layout)

BUZZER: ON/OFF

ON: when an event occurs, the buzzer will sound. To enable this function, press <ALARM > (LED lights up).
OFF: when an event trigger occurs, the buzzer will not sound.
RELAY: ON/OFF
ON: when an event occurs, the relay output is switched on. To enable this function, press <ALARM > (LED lights up).
OFF: the relay function is disabled.
Period: The duration of the alarm output (1~15min). The alarm can be switched off manually by pressing <ALARM>.
e. VIDEO LOSS ALARM
In the main menu, select VIDEO LOSS ALARM and press <ENTER>. The screen at
the right appears:
CHANNEL: ALL, 1, 2, 3 or 4
ALARM: ON: when video loss occurs the alarm will buzz / OFF: when video loss occurs the alarm will not buzz.
To enable/disable this function, press <ALARM > on the front panel.
Even if the video loss alarm is set to OFF, "VIDEO LOSS" will appear on the screen to notify the user.
f. COMPACT FLASH CARD SETUP
In the main menu, select CF CARD SETUP and press <ENTER>. The screen at the
right appears:
COPY: duplicate the data onto the CF card. See below.
FORMAT / ERASE: delete all data stored in the CF card. See below.
TOTAL CAPACITY: storage capacity of the CF card.
REMAINING CAPACITY: remaining storage space of the CF card.
COPY
Move the cursor to COPY and press <ENTER>. The COPY screen appears:
