Operation
Intended use
The RE7T Solo461 heat detector tester kit is a tool for
checking the function of heat detectors. To run this check, a
heating element is heated in a tester until the heat detector
being checked issues an alarm.
The RE7T Solo461 heat detector test kit comprises the
following components (Fig. 1):
· 1x Solo461 tester (2)
· 2x RE7T-B1 Solo770 rechargeable batteries (4) for
Solo461 tester (2)
· 1x RE7T-C1 Solo727 charger (1) for rechargeable
batteries (3)
· 2x mains cables for RE7T-C1 Solo727 charger (1)

Preparation
Insert a rechargeable battery (3) into the tester (2) (Fig. 1).

Fit the RE7T-A Solo719 adapter (4) on the rechargeable

Commissioning
Move the red switch (7) on the tester (2) to position 'I'

The green LED (8) flashes slowly.

The tester (2) is ready.

Testing detectors
Hold the tester (2) under the heat detector (Fig. 3).

Press the tester (2) against the heat detector and ensure

the heat detector is in firm contact with the detector
holder (6).
The detector test starts automatically.

The green LED (8) flashes faster.
ð

Press the tester (2) against the heat detector until the heat

CAUTION
Heated tester heating element

· Do not touch heating element.
Remove the tester (2) from the heat detector.

ð The tester (2) is ready.
ð The heating element in the tester (2) is cooled by an
integrated fan.
Move the red switch (7) on the tester (2) to position '0'.

The green LED (8) goes out.

Charging battery at AC 110/120...220/240 V
Connect the charger's (1) connector (11) to a rechargeable

battery (3) (Fig. 4).
Connect the mains cable (9) to the charger (1) and a

socket for AC 110/120...220/240 V.
The LED (12) lights up red.

It takes around 1 hour to charge.
When the battery (3) is fully charged, the LED (12) lights up
green.
Charging battery at DC 12 V
Connect the charger's (1) connector (11) to a rechargeable

battery (3) (Fig. 4).
Connect the cable (10) to a socket for DC 12 V; e.g., a

cigarette lighter socket in a vehicle.
The LED (12) on the charger (1) lights up red.

It takes around 1 hour to charge.
When the battery (3) is fully charged, the LED (12) lights up
green.
NOTICE
Overheating of devices
Damage to charger or battery
· Do not leave charger connected to a fully charged
battery if power to the charger could be
repeatedly disrupted.
Dispose of batteries in an environmentally friendly
manner and observe national guidelines and
regulations.
