• This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given the correct supervision or instruction concer-
ning the use of the appliance in a safe way and they understand the
hazards involved.
• Always disconnect the mains plug when not in use and when coo-
ling down.
• Ensure the appliance is used on a sturdy, level and flat surface.
• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an
authorised technician or engineer. If the supply cord is damaged it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similar-
ly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is not designed to be immersed in water during clea-
ning. Please follow the instructions that we have included for you in
the chapter on "Cleaning".
• Use proper pan size - select pans that have flat bottoms large
enough to cover the surface of appliance's heating area.
• Do not use the surface as a cutting board.
• In the interests of hygiene and safety the appliance should be kept
clean at all times as a buildup in fats and other food stuff could re-
sult in a fire.
• Always keep combustible materials such as wall coverings or cur-
tains etc. a safe distance away from the appliance.
Unpacking the Appliance
• Remove the appliance, handles, screws, and trim pieces
from the box.
• Also remove any packaging materials that may be
present.
• Ensure all pieces are present and correct.
