INSTALLATION
The STAR 4 REGULATOR must always be wall mounted on a fire-proof indeformable surface. e.g. tiling or cement wall. using spacers
between the appliance and the mounting surface. It must never be mounted inside containers or cupboards because lack of ventilation
will damage the regulator! Under operating conditions the dissipator (fig. 1-A) gets hot and direct attachment to inflammable surfaces
can cause fires! Use always spacers between the appliance and the mounting surface.
Before mounting check that mains is earthed.

Provide the plant after the regulator with an SB fuse or a differential thermalmagnetic switch.

Do not use heaters with power above 3000W

WARNING!
Do not connect the regulator to the mains before mounting.
Mount the regulator on the wall with screws and plugs.
OPERATION
1. Make sure that the 0/1 switch is on 0 (OFF). (fig. 1-E)
2. Connect the schuko socket to the earthed mains
3. Connect the heater to the schuko socket on the regulator (fig. 2-B)
4. Regulate the potentiometer (fig. 2-D) to minimum or maximum depending on the comfort desired.
WARNING!
Do not use extension cables or cables to connect the regulator to the mains,

use the cable and plug provided.

Always connect the regulator to earthed sockets


SAFETY WARNINGS:

Check that the voltage shown on the regulator identification plate

corresponds to the mains voltage.

The regulator must always be connected with earthed sockets

Do not cover or obstruct the regulator whilst it is on

Do not use the regulator in bathrooms or in the immediate vicinity of baths, showers orswimming pools.

Keep well out of reach of children

Do not use the regulator if the supply cable is damaged. Replacement of the supply cable must only be carried out by the manufacturer

or the help service or a specialised technician.
The regulator has been designed solely and exclusively for indoor use.

The regulator must be installed in a dry place.

The regulator must be checked regularly to ascertain any disorders in its operation.

For industrial installation, the regulations for prevention of accidents and safety for that country must be complied with.

MAINTENANCE
STAR 4 REGULATOR is maintenance free. It must be cleaned from time to time with a dry antistatic cloth.
WARNING: Before doing any cleaning, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power supply. Do not use any liquids for cleaning.
Do not use any sharp tools for cleaning (e.g., screwdrivers, files, brushes, etc.)
TROUBLE-SHOOTING
The STAR 4 REGULATOR does not work?
1) Check that the plug has been put in properly
2) Check there is no damage to the cable.
3) Check that the 0/1 switch is on 1 (fig. 1-E).
4) Check that there is current in the supply line and that the fuse after it is on ON or 1
5) Check on the other socket that the heater is working, the heater bulb may be broken.
6) Use only schuko plugs for the regulator input/output.
Any repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer or the help service or a specialised technician.
