5. Utilisation
-

1.
Dévisser les connexions haute pression

1. General safety and warning rules
Adherence to the specifications and observance of the instructions is paramount for correct functioning and has therefore definitely to be assured by the user.
Local environmental conditions should also be taken into account. The competent and tight make-up of this connection is directly dependent on the experience
of the user/technician. Care must be taken that all users/technicians are trained thoroughly in the competent and correct handling/assembly of these connections.
NOVASWISS high pressure components have been designed acc. to the normes and regulations for pressure vessels and AD files. If the components are ordered
in degreased conditions, make sure that no contamination happens during the mounting. If the components are being used in explosion proof environment make
sure to use only explosion proof tooling.
2. Functional description and correct use
Main function of NOVASWISS filters: to collect solid particles out of the circulating fluides
No changes may be made to the filters (e.g. mechanical alterations, welding, brazing, delete the markings, soldering etc.). Do not use
products which are damaged or have been subjected to high temperature (ex. in case of fire). If the filters are used for purposes other than
those listed, the manufacturer or vendor shall not be held liable for any damage consequential thereto. Such risks shall be borne by the user
alone.

Temperature range of the media
When using media that cause corrosion, mechanical changes (e.g. solid particles etc.), as well as
chemical destruction (e.g. H2So4, H2, O2 etc.) the user must take appropriate countermeasures (e.g.
Media (fluids)
explosion protection etc.) and if necessary examine and/or replace the parts regularly. In the case of
flammable, explosive and/or toxic media, the applicable statutory regulations must be observed.
The filters are designed predominately for static service duty.
Type of service
In the case of dynamic loading appropriate measures must be taken by the user.

1. Prior to assembly grease all threads with an approprate lubricant (e.g. molybdenum-sulfide-based).
2. Slide the gland
over the tube.
3. Screw the collar
up to the end of the thread and unscrew back one full turn (left-hand thread).
4. Screw the gland
into the pressure connection bore and tighten down to the torque given in the table 2.
Make sure that the vent holes are never obstructed!

5. Operation
-
Outside the temperature range 0° ... +40°C, protective gloves have to be used.
-
Should the components be mounted against a flat surface, it must be assured that at least one vent hole on every port is left uncovered. It is
forbidden to cover or plug vent holes.
-
If the high pressure connections are to be subject to intense vibration, then the use of anti-vibration connections is required. Order number

6. Disassembly
Check that there is no pressure left inside the filters before disassembly.
To disassemble, proceed in reverse order to assembly.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Servicing
The NOVASWISS FIL -...-... filters must be checked periodically for leaks.
When fouled, the filter cartridge must be replaced.
The operator must define an appropriate interval for the filter cartridge change.
Should components need replacement, only original NOVASWISS spares must be used.
7.2 Changing of filter cartridge
1.
Unscrew high pressure connections
and
.
2.
Remove gland
(filter cartridge
is attached to gland
).
3.
To remove filter
warm it up to 120°C (e.g. with industry heater).
② .
Pull filter out of gland
4.
Clean bore hole.
5.
Apply Loctite 243 on clean filter cartridge and insert filter in the bore hole.
6.
Cover the filter (see C)
② .
7.
Spray Teflon onto the thread A and the mettallic sealing surface B of item
The metallic sealing surface have to be fully covered with Teflon.
8.
Refit gland
and tighten to 220Nm.
9.
Prior to assembly connections
and
grease all threads with an approprate lubricant
(e.g. molybdenum-sulfide-based).
10.

and
.
7.3 Troubleshooting
Fault
Possible cause
-Pressure connection incorrectly installed.
Medium escapes through pressure connection vent hole.
-Cone surface damaged.
No flow through the filter
-Filter clogs.
8. Disposal
At the end of their service life the filters are to be disposed in accordance with the national regulations.
Specifications are subject to change without notice.
