To lock photos, memos or videos you do not wish to
delete:
Press the PLAy button to enter playback mode and select
a photo, video or memo.
Press memo.
Select "File Protection". You are given the option to Can-
cel or Lock the selection. You may also unlock a file.
wARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause
product damage.
wARNING:
Always wear eye protection marked to comply with ANSI
Z87.1 during product operation. If operation is dusty, also
wear a dust mask.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
wARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.
OPERATION
DOwNLOADING PHOTOS TO yOUR
COMPUTER

To download photos to your computer:
Connect the mini-USB end of the download cable to the
USB port on your camera.
Plug the USB connector into the USB port of your com-
puter.
Turn the camera on.
Follow the prompts on your computer screen to copy the
pictures to your hard drive.
MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Before, storing, always remove the battery pack from the
battery compartment.
Do not store the camera at temperatures greater than
122º F (such as on a dashboard or vehicle interior).
BATTERy PACK PREPARATION FOR
RECyCLING
wARNING:
Upon removal, cover the battery pack's terminals with
heavy-duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or
disassemble battery pack or remove any of its compo-
nents. Lithium-ion batteries must be recycled or disposed
of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with metal
objects and/or body parts as short circuit may result.
Keep away from children. Failure to comply with these
warnings could result in fire and/or serious injury.
