and click Next.

Insert the U.S. Robotics Installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

Select Install the software automatically (Recommended); click Next.

When the Found New Hardware Wizard appears, insert the U.S. Robotics Installation CD-
ROM, select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended), and click Next.
If a Digital Signature Not Found window appears, click Yes.*

Wait for the operating system to copy the files that it needs, then click Finish.
Linux 2.4.13 or Later
1.
Ensure that the kernel source version and the kernel run version are the same.

Log in as root.

Make the driver executable with the following command:
chmod 755 install.sh

Copy the driver source files to a convenient directory and start the build process with the
following commands:
# mv sk98lin.tar sk98lin.tar.bz2
# ./install.sh

Select your preferred installation method, and the driver will be compiled and installed.
NetWare Server
For Netware Server installation instructions, go to the NWServer folder on the Installation CD-
ROM and select the text file that corresponds to your version of NetWare.
Step Three: Verify Your Installation
Use an RJ-45 Ethernet cable to connect your NIC to an Internet access device. If any LED on the
NIC flashes continuously, you have installed the card successfully. Please go to www.usr.com/
productreg and register your new 10/100/1000 Mbps 64-bit PCI NIC.
