Cleaning and care
After every meal and before cleaning your raclette grill, turn the tem-
perature control dial to the left (to the «–» symbol) and unplug the power
cord. Wait until the raclette grill has cooled down completely.
☞
Clean the appliance after every meal to prevent any food remains from
sticking to it.
☞
Always remove all leftover fat. Burnt leftover fat smells and spoils the
taste of food cooked on the grill.
☞
Never immerse the appliance in water (risk of short-circuit). To clean the
appliance, wipe it with a damp cloth and then dry it well.
☞
Do not use any sharp or abrasive objects or corrosive chemicals as
these will scratch the non-stick surface of the grill plate or the stone grill
plate (accessory).
☞
After you have finished using your raclette grill, wipe the grill plate with
E
kitchen paper while it is still warm to remove the remaining fat and oil.
☞
Clean the heating element only with a moist sponge or a soft cloth. Nev-
er bring the heating element into contact with water or other liquids.
☞
Clean the accessories (grill plate, stone grill plate, serving trays and
plastic spatulas) by hand with washing-up liquid. Do not wash them in
the dishwasher.
☞
Soak heavily soiled serving trays in cold water for approximately 30
minutes before washing.
☞
Check the power cord and plug regularly for damage. Do not use the
raclette grill if the cord is damaged. Have the cable replaced by your
service centre.
☞
Always unplug the appliance when it is not being used.
☞
Let your raclette grill cool down completely and then store it in a dry
place out of reach of children. We recommend storing the appliance in
its original packaging as it is easier to put away and is well protected.
