Thank you for purchasing this quality Courant 12 cup food processor!
This guide will cover the different functions and attachments you can use to prepare new and
exciting foods! Please read all of these instructions before first use to safely get the most out
of your new appliance!
Before using your food processor for the first time
Carefully unpack the appliance. Remove all labels and packaging materials. Do

not plug the appliance in yet.
2. Take special care when unpacking and handling the knife blades and discs, as
they are very sharp. Any plastic covers for the tools should be discarded, as they
are only used to protect the blade during transport.
3. Clean the appliance (see the Care, Cleaning and Maintenance section later in this
guide). When the appliance is completely dry, place the base unit on a dry, stable,
level surface. Ensure it is kept away from any surface edges.
Make sure that the control knob is set to the OFF position.

During initial use, you may notice a slight odor due to the release of manufacturing
residues. This is completely normal and will disappear after a few uses.
