INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS:
• To be installed and/or used in accordance with electrical codes and regulations.
• If you are unsure about any part of these instructions, consult an electrician.
• To avoid overheating and possible damage to this device and other equipment,
do not install to control a receptacle, fluorescent lighting, a motor- or a transformer-
operated appliance.
• Use with incandescent or 120V halogen fixtures only.
• Total minimum load must exceed 40W.
• Recommended minimum wall box depth is 2-1/2".
• Disconnect power at circuit breaker or fuse when servicing, installing or removing fixture.
• Use this device WITH COPPER OR COPPER CLAD WIRE ONLY.

Installing Timer by itself or with other devices
If installing Timer in a single device application, proceed with the INSTALLING YOUR
TIMER section. If installing Timer in a multi-device application, proceed as follows:
MULTI-DEVICE APPLICATION
In multi-device installations, the reduction of the timer's capacity is required. Refer to
the chart for maximum load per timer.

Preparing and connecting wires:

• M ake sure that the ends of the wires from the wall box are straight (cut if necessary).
• Remove insulation from each wire in the wall box as shown.
Single-Pole Wiring Application:
Step 4
Connect wires per WIRING DIAGRAM as follows:
Twist strands of each lead tightly and, with circuit conductors, push firmly into
appropriate wire connector. Screw connectors on clockwise making sure that
no bare wire shows below the wire connectors. Secure each wire connector
with electrical tape.

Testing your Timer prior to mounting in wall box:
Step 5
• P osition all wires to provide room in outlet wall box
for device.
• Ensure that the word "TOP" is facing up on device
strap.
• Partially screw in mounting screws in wall box
mounting holes.
NOTE: Dress wires with a bend as
shown in diagram in order to relieve
stress when mounting device.
• Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse.
• Make sure slide switch is in the (ON) position -
located to the right (see OPERATION). Press
any one of the timer buttons and the lights will
turn ON.
If lights DO NOT turn ON refer to
Troubleshooting section.
Timer Mounting:
Step 6
TURN OFF POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE.
Installation may now be completed by
tightening mounting screws into wall box.
Attach wallplate.
Restore Power:
Step 7 Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse.
Installation is complete.

INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACION
OPERATION
1. To turn the lights ON press one of the time out buttons. This will commence time count
down and the green LED next to that button will turn on.
2. To turn the lights OFF wait until the selected time has passed (the LED next to each
button will extinguish as time out passes to the next preset level) or press the OFF button.
3. Pressing and holding the top button until all LEDs turn on will override the time out feature
and the lights will stay on until a time out button or the OFF button is pressed.

TROUBLESHOOTING
• Lights and LED do not turn ON
- Check wiring
- Check to see if circuit breaker or fuse has tripped
- Check that slide switch is in the ON position (located to the right)

Si la minuterie est installée seule, passer à la section
INSTALLATION. Si elle est groupée avec d'autres dispositifs,
procéder comme suit :

• S'assurer que les brins des fils de la boîte murale soient bien droits
(les recouper au besoin).
• Dénuder l'extrémité de chaque fil de la boîte murale de la manière illustrée.
Applications unipolaires:

Raccorder les fils conformément au schéma de câblage et
de la façon suivante :
torsader solidement ensemble les brins de
chaque connexion et enfoncer fermement le raccord dans un serre-
fils de calibre approprié, en tournant ce dernier vers la droite et en
s'assurant qu'aucun brin de cuivre ne soit exposé. Protéger les raccords
au moyen de ruban isolant.
