"Keep It Warm" function: once the coffee is made, it can be kept warm by
simply leaving it on the base. To deactivate this function, press the I/0 switch
(to 0). If you remove the coffee maker from the base, the "Keep It Warm"
function is automatically turned off.

The First Use (please refer to the figures)
Unwind the power cable fully. Check that the base is set perfectly flat on the surface.
Wash only the inside of the carafe, filter, and boiler, following the instructions
provided in the section "Cleaning and maintenance".
Make certain that the coffee maker is cold and unscrew it: holding the boiler with one
hand, turn the carafe counter-clockwise with the other hand.
Remove the funnel filter. Fill the boiler with fresh water up to the safety valve (visible
inside the boiler).
Use only soft fresh water.
Insert the funnel filter in the boiler.
Fill the funnel filter correctly with ground coffee without pressing. Fill it a little at a
time to avoid that the coffee spill over.
Distribute the ground coffee in a uniform manner. Use the pin (13) to make some
small holes. Remove any excess coffee from the filter's edge using the tool (3) to level
the coffee in the funnel.
Use good quality ground coffee with a medium grind and packaged for use in moka
coffee makers.
Screw on the carafe: holding the boiler with one hand, turn the carafe clockwise with
the other hand. Avoid using the handle for leverage.
Set the coffee maker on the base and close the lid.
Connect the plug to the power socket.
Press the 0/I switch so that it is in the I position (the button lights up).
Coffee will start coming out after a few minutes.
When the coffee has come out completely, stir the coffee lightly before serving for a
uniform body.
Turn off the coffee maker: press the switch so that it is in the
disconnect the plug from the power socket.
During long periods of inactivity, remove the plug from the electric socket.
