- Pour the quantity of rice to be cooked in the recipient (2) using the dispenser (4). Rinse
the rice with clean water and then drain it. Repeat this 2 to 3 times.
- Pour the equivalent quantity in clean water using the dispenser (4).
WARNING: Do not cook more than 6 cups in the recipient per use.
- Properly dry the external surface of the recipient (2) using a dry cloth.
- Place the recipient (2) in the main body (3) and put the lid (1).
- Plug in the power cord. Switch on the appliance by pressing the ON / OFF button (13) to
set it to "I"
- Plug in the power cable. Cooking light indicator (5) comes on.
- Start the cooking by pressing the switch on button (6).
- Once the cooking is completed, the cooking light indicator (5) goes off and the keep
warm light indicator (7) comes on.
Note: Be careful with the emanating hot vapour when opening the lid.
Disconnect the power cable before removing the recipient from its base.
3. PREPARING SUSHIS
Preparing rice
- First cook the rice using the rice cooker following the instructions above.
- During this time, heat the rice vinegar with sugar and salt. Allow it to cook without
boiling until the sugar completely dissolves. Allow it to cool.
- As soon as the rice is cooked, remove the lid and wait for 10 min.
- Put the rice using the flat plastic spoon (10) or fork (12) in a big salad bowl and pour
vinegar sauce. Carefully mix using a wooden spoon ensuring that you do not break
grains.
To prepare round shaped sushis (PIC01).
1. Place the item (B) on a flat surface and insert item (A) from above.
2. Put a Nori algae leaf at the bottom and uniformly half fill sushi rice using the spatula
supplied (11).
3. Press using the item (D) with the excess turned towards the base to make a 'trench' in the
rice.
4. Add your favourite ingredients in groove and cover it with rice.
5. Cover the set with the Nori algae leave and firmly press with the item (C).
6. Cut the set into pieces using item cutting guides (B).
7. Press and hold the set with the item (C) and then remove the item (A).
8. Your round shaped sushis are ready.
To prepare small square-shaped sushi (PIC02).
1. Place the item (F) on a flat surface and insert the item (E) from above.
2. Put a Nori algae leave at the bottom and uniformly half fill sushi rice.
3. Use the spatula to prepare a groove in the rice.
4. Add your favourite ingredients in the rice groove and then cover it with rice.
5. Cover up the set with the Nori algae leave and firmly press with the item (D).
6. Cut the set into pieces using item cutting guides (E).
7. Press and hold the set with the item (D) and then remove the item (E).
8. Your round shaped sushis are ready to be savoured.
Ingredients for 3 to 4 persons:
- 5 cups of Japanese rice previously cooked using the rice cooker
- 4 soup spoons of rice vinegar
- 2 soup spoons of sugar
