PC310 / PC510 DIGITAL SLOW COOKER
•
Add dairy products towards the end of the cooking time (unless the recipe states
otherwise).
•
Chickens and other poultry should first be jointed and fried or grilled before
slow cooking as it is essential to reach germicidal temperatures near the bone
quickly.
•
To thicken the flavour rich juices developed during slow cooking, remove 1 cup
of juices from the slow cooker and reduce in a small saucepan.
CLEANING THE SLOW COOKER
Always ensure the slow cooker is unplugged and has cooled down completely before
cleaning.
Glass lid: The lid may be washed in your dishwasher.
CLEANING THE METAL EXTERIOR
The outside of the cooker can be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.
Wipe dry. Never use abrasive cleaners.
REMOVABLE CERAMIC POT
The removable pot is dishwasher-proof. Or simply wash it in hot, soapy water. Never
use abrasive cleaners.
A cloth, a sponge or rubber spatula will usually remove any residues. Use a non-
abrasive cleaner or vinegar to remove water spots and other stains.
TAKING CARE WITH YOUR CERAMIC POT
As with any fine ceramics, this stoneware pot is not resistant to sudden temperature
shocks. Do not put cold foods in the ceramic pot if it has been preheated or is hot to
the touch. Do not preheat the slow cooker before using unless specified in the recipe.
The ceramic pot should be at room temperature before adding hot foods. Use hot
water to wash your ceramic pot immediately after cooking. Never pour cold water
into the pot when it is hot.
Subject to change without prior notice.
