Possible Cause
1. Motor unable to get into
correct tension position.
1. EEPROM chip on control
board has a bad
connection.
2. The software stored in
the EEPROM chip on the
control board is
defective.
1. No pulse signal input
when using body fat
calculator.
Things to check
Check if there is too much
tension on motor.
Check if the EEPROM chip is
plugged-in correctly.

Solution
1. Turn computer on and
remove the motor plug
containing the tension
cable. Move resistance
level on computer to
maximum.
2. As soon as motor
reached maximum po-
sition, re-insert the plug
containing the tension
cable.
3. Re-adjust tension, if
needed to ensure maxi-
mum resistance.
4. Test all resistance levels.
5. Replace motor or
computer if the problem
persists.
Remove the EEPROM and
re-insert. If the problem per-
sists, replace control board.
Replace control board.
Keep hands placed on
hand pulse plates until the
result is displayed.
