on the device (Fig. 1 / Pos. 1).
It will take approx. 12 hours to charge. The re-
chargeable battery will be charged with
approx. 12 V.
4.2 Switching the lamp on and off
The lamp is switched on and off using the rotary
switch, which has three positions, located on the top
of the casing (Fig. 2 / Pos. 1 = On, Pos. 2 = Off, Pos.
3 = Infrared remote control). Position 3 permits the
lamp to be switched on and off using the infrared
remote control (Fig. 1 / Pos. 2). To do this, point the
remote control with its transmission diode (Fig. 1 /
Pos. 3) towards the red receiver (Fig. 1 / Pos. 4) on
the top part of the casing.
When you then operate the remote control the red
control LED (Fig. 1 / Pos. 5) will flicker and the lamp
will be switched on or off.
5. Replacing the fluorescent lamp
Caution! The fluorescent lamp must be switched
off and have cooled down. The charging supply
unit must be disconnected. Never touch the
fluorescent lamp on the glass tube but only on
the cap. Dispose of the fluorescent lamp in
accordance with regulations.
To replace the fluorescent lamp, proceed as
follows:
1. Unscrew the top part of the casing (Fig. 1 / Pos. 6)
in an anti-clockwise direction and remove.
2. Take out the fluorescent lamp (Fig. 1 / Pos. 7) and
replace with a new one of the same type
(FLS/E7W4000K).
3. Replace the top part of the casing (Fig. 1 / Pos. 6)
and screw back on in a clockwise direction until
firmly in position.
6. Changing the battery in the remote
control
Open the remote control and replace the battery with
one of the same type. Check that + and – terminals
are positioned correctly when you insert the battery,
otherwise there is a risk of damage to the remote
control. Dispose of the used battery in accordance
with regulations.

7. Care and maintenance
It is best to clean the surface of the lamp with just a
dry, soft cloth. Do not use any aggressive detergents.
If absolutely necessary you can remove soiling with a
slightly damp cloth.
8. Repair
In the event of any malfunctions, have the device
checked by an authorized specialist or a customer
service workshop.
9. Disposal
The device, accessories and packaging should be
taken for environmentally responsible recycling when
disposed of. For proper recycling by material type, all
plastic parts are marked.

Rechargeable batteries and cordless electric
machines and tools contain materials that are potentially
harmful to the environment. Never place any cordless
electric machines or tools in your household refuse.
When cordless electric machines or tools become
defective or worn, remove the rechargeable batteries and

Landau, Germany. If the rechargeable batteries cannot
be removed, return the complete cordless machine or
tool. You can then be sure that the equipment will be
correctly disposed of by the manufacturer.
