Make sure the appliance stands securely!
The appliance is not explosion-proof. Caution must therefore be exercised
when using it near flammable and explosive substances.
1. Important
Read the following instructions before switching on. Have any work required on the electrical,
electronic and refrigerating components performed only by suitably qualified professionals.
Disconnect from the mains before servicing!
2. Ambient conditions
Set up the appliance on a flat, horizontal surface. Make sure there are no light particles
(polystyrene, paper or the like) in the area of the air intake in the base of the housing (U).
The admissible ambient temperature is between + 15°C and 32°C. Protect the appliance
against moisture.
The rotary condenser has to be set up with a clearance of at least
8 cm from any rear wall in order not to obstruct air escaping at the
back of the unit.
3. Operating temperature range
ROTACOOL
4. Electrical connection
Switch off the ON/OFF switch (H). Observing the technical data on the type plate, connect
the appliance to the mains voltage from the appliance socket (S) using the connection cable
supplied.
5. Cooling liquid
Use water, ethanol or a suitable thermofluid as cooling liquid. Make sure the thermofluid's
maximum and minimum admissible temperatures are suitable for the operating temperature
range desired.
Use cooling liquids with a freezing point at least 5 K below the operating temperature. If you
want to set an operating temperature of e.g. –10°C, the cooling liquid must be guaranteed
not to freeze at temperatures down to –15°C. If water is used as cooling liquid at
temperatures below +5°C, you must either add a standard anti-freeze agent or use a
different cooling liquid (e.g. Ethanol) instead.
Observe the following information for thermofluids:
Maximum operating temperature: The flash point of the thermofluid used should
be at least 5 K higher.
