Operating manual PCU
1.
PCU is mainly used for cutting tread patterns into Tyres.
2.
PCU may only be used with AC electrical supply as stated on the type-plate.
3.
As Prema Cutter 300 is pressed against the Tyre to be regrooved, the blade is automatically
heated. In order to cut zig-zag patterns, the pressure should be released while turning the blade.
4.
Allowing the blade to glow while not in contact with the tyre may damage the blade and should be
avoided.
5.
Cutting should be executed quickly. Smoke or smouldering rubber are indications that the cutting
is being executed too slowly or that the power setting is too high.
6.
Blades must be fastened with clamps on the cutting head. If the clamps are in the normal position
then all standard size blades can be fastened. Extraordinary large blades can be fastened easily
by turning the clamps.

In order to ensure good electrical contact, the clamps of the cutting-head should be cleaned with
a suitable solvent from time to time. Poor blade heating and increased cutting resistance are
signs of bad electrical contact.

The transformer has four power settings. Each original PREMA blade box shows the numbers of
the most favourable power setting for enclosed blades.
9.
If the
PCU
is not being used for any length of time, it should be disconnected from the power
supply.
10. If the PCU is in use for some time, the cable connecting the cutting-head to the transformer may
get hot - this is normal.
11. Do not remove type-plate from the tool. The technical data on the plate are important and
removal of the plate will void any guarantee.
12. Use only original PREMA blades to ensure best results.
13. Careless usage could result in fire.
14. PCU must be used with caution near combustable material.
15. Do not use in an explosive atmosphere.
16. Allow device to cool before storage.
17. Do not allow the hot blade to come into contact with the supply cable or other combustable
materials.
18. Do not use in damp or wet conditions.
19. If the cables or any other parts of the PCU Regroover require attention, they must be replaced or
serviced by either the manufacturer, it's agent, or similar qualified persons to avoid any safety
hazards.

Istruzioni per l'uso dei Modelli PCU
1.
PCU è principalmente usato per intagliare la gomma.
2.
PCU può essere alimentato solo con corrente AC come specificato sulla targhetta.
3.
La corrente elettrica scalda il coltello quando la testa dell'apparecchio è appoggiata sul
pneumatico da incidere.Azzerando la pressione si interrompe il passaggio della corrente. Negli
intagli a zig zag allentare la pressione ad ogni cambio di direzione.
4.
Evitare di surriscaldare la lama quando non è in contatto con il pneumatico.
5.
La scanalatura deve essere effettuata il più rapidamente possibile. Se la gomma fuma o brucia
significa che l'incisione è praticata troppo lentamente o che la temperatura d'esercizio è troppo
elevata.
6.
Le lame devono essere fissate ai morsetti della testa di taglio.Se i morsetti si trovano in una
posizione normale possono essere fissate tutte le lame standard. Le lame particolarmente grandi
possono essere facilmente utilizzate ruotando i morsetti di fissaggio.
7.
Per avere un buon contatto elettrico ogni tanto pulire la testa di taglio con una soluzione adatta,
avendo prima cura di staccare la corrente. Uno scarso riscaldamento della lama o una difficoltà
nel taglio è significato di un cattivo contatto elettrico.
8.
Il trasformatore ha quattro regolazioni di tensione. Su ogni scatola delle lame è suggerita la
migliore tensione per le lame contenute nella confezione.
9.
Se PCU non viene utilizzato per un po' di tempo,staccare l'alimentazione.
10. Dopo un uso prolungato dell'apparecchio a temperatura elevata il cavo tra il trasformatore ed il
porta lame si può riscaldare.Questo effetto è normale e l'apparecchio non si danneggia.
11. Non rimuovere la targhetta dall'apparecchio. I dati tecnici sono importanti e la rimozione o la
manomissione degli stessi causa la decadenza automatica della garanzia.
12. L'utilizzo delle lame originali PREMA assicura risultati migliori.
13. Prestare attenzione all'apparecchio perché può essere infiammabile.
14. In presenza di materiali infiammabili usare la massima cautela.
15. Non usare in luoghi facilmente infiammabili.
16. Lasciare raffreddare l'apparecchio prima di riporlo.
17. Il cavo di connessione o altri materiali infiammabili non devono entrare a contatto con le lame
bollenti dell'apparecchio.
18. Evitare il contatto dell'apparecchio con superfici umide.
19. Se i cavi o qualsiasi altro componente del PCU viene danneggiato deve essere sostituito o
riparato dalla ditta o da persone qualificate per evitare qualsiasi problema di sicurezza.
