Warning! To avoid injury and to reduce the risk of electrical shock or

• Replace the battery pack or charger immediately if the battery case
or charger cord is damaged.
• Always make sure the string trimmer switch is OFF before inserting
or removing the battery pack.
• Always make sure the battery pack is removed and the switch is
OFF, before assembling, inspecting, adjusting, or maintaining any
other part of the grass trimmer.
• Read, understand, and follow the Battery Charger instructions.
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the machine and accessory from the box. Make sure
that all items listed on previous page are included. Inspect the machine
carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during
shipping. Keep the packing material until you have carefully inspected
and satisfactorily operated the machine.
2. Charge the battery
Warning! Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If
battery pack case is cracked or damaged, do not insert into charger. Do
not crush, drop or damage battery pack.
Do not use a battery pack or charger that has received a sharp blow,
been dropped, run over or damaged in any way (i.e., pierced with a
nail, hit with a hammer, stepped on). Damaged battery packs should be
returned to service center for recycling.
Warning! Fire hazard. Do not store or carry battery so that metal
objects can contact exposed battery terminals. For example, do not
place battery in aprons, pockets, tool boxes, product kit boxes, drawers,
etc., with loose nails, screws, keys, etc.
