  • Page 7 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS TWO-STROKE OIL - For the best results use premium grade two-stroke oil mixed at a 40:1 ratio, intended for air cooled engines. Do not use any 2-cycle oil product with a recommended mixing ratio of 100:1. If needed, contact your dealer when selecting oil.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: If engine fails to start after repeated attempts, refer to troubleshooting section. WARNING: Always pull starter rope straight out. Pulling starter at an angle will cause rope to rub against the eyelet. This friction will cause the rope to fray and wear more quickly.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Periodically remove weed wrap to prevent overheating the drive shaft. Weed wrap occurs when strands of weed become entangled around the shaft beneath the debris shield (Fig. 6). This condition prevents the shaft from being properly cooled. Remove weed wrap with screwdriver or similar device. Fig.

Si vous faites fonctionner le moteur avec de l’essence ayant un indice d’octane inférieur à 90 le phénomène connu sous le nom de cognement peut se produire.   • Page 24 CONSIGNES D’UTILISATION Coupe / Tonte Faites pivoter le coupe-herbe d’un côté à l’autre, comme une faucille. N’inclinez pas la tête à fil en en effectuant cette procédure. Testez la zone à couper pour déterminer la hauteur de coupe appropriée. Gardez toujours la tête à fil au même niveau pour assurer une hauteur uniforme de coupe.

    ENTRETIEN Tournez le bouton (A) dans le sens ANTIHORAIRE et retirez-le (fig. 7A). Utilisez la clé fournie pour le bouton. Retirez la bobine (B) et le ressort (C) de la tige (D). Retirez tout fil de coupe restant (H). Pliez un fil de coupe de 2 mm (0,8 po), d’une longueur de 4,3 m (14 pi) au centre A.
