Shade cartridge does not darken or flickers
• Sensors are soiled or obstructed:
sensor bar tilted
• Front cover lens soiled or damaged.
• Welding current too low; remove sen-
sor bar, if necessary.
Slow response
• Operating temperature too low (do
not use at temperatures below –10°C;
14°F).
Poor vision
• Protective lenses and/or shade car-
tridge soiled.
• Insufficient ambient light
• Shade level incorrectly set.
Welding mask slips
• Headband not adjusted properly
(must be lowered)
You must not use the shade cartridge
if the fault cannot be remedied. Get in
touch with your dealer.

Hold front lens frame at bottom edge
and pull up.
Insert front cover lens into frame and
snap the front lens frame into place first
at the top and then at the bottom;
press firmly into place.
Use only original ESAB front cover len-
ses!
