Electrical Connection

Power Requirements
The appliance can consume 2400 W of power in
total. At this power rating we recommend a sepa-
rate lead with fuse protection through a 16 A circuit
breaker.
CAUTION: OVERLOADING!
Do not use extension leads or multiple sockets
since this appliance is too powerful.
Connection
• Before plugging the mains plug into the socket,
check if the mains voltage which you want to
use matches that of the appliance. The details
can be found on the name plate on the base.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly
installed earthed 220 – 240 V~, 50 Hz socket.

Instructions

Mains Lead
Completely unwind the length of mains lead that
you require from the bottom section of the base.
Please ensure that the mains lead does not be-
come tangled up.
Preparation
Before using for the first time, boil fresh water at
least three times in the appliance. Use only water
without any additives or ingredients.
NOTE:
Always use fresh water.

Operation

1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Opening the Lid
Press the "OPEN" button. The lid opens up.
3. Then fill in the water (max. 1.7 Litre).
You can read the filling level on the water level
indicator of the kettle.
4. Close the lid until you hear it lock in place.
5. Place the kettle flush on the base.
Operation
1 Boil water to 100°C
• Press the button. The button light chang-
es from blue to red. "100°" appears on the
display.
• If the temperature has been reached the
heating element switches off automatically.
2 Heat water from 40°C to 95°C
• Press the or button. The display lights
up blue. Use the buttons to set the desired
temperature.
• Press the button. The button light chang-
es from blue to red.
• When the temperature is reached, the heat-
ing element switches off automatically.
3 Heat water from 40°C to 90°C and keep hot
• Press the or button. The Display lights
up blue. Use the buttons to set the desired
temperature.
• Press the button. The "
hot" appears on the display.
• Press the button. The button light chang-
es from blue to red.
• When the temperature is reached, the heat-
ing element switches off automatically.
NOTE:
• The temperature can be adjusted in 5° steps.
• The water is kept at the same temperature for
an hour.
• After an hour, the kettle switches off automati-
cally in standby mode.
Switching off/Interrupting Operation
There are two ways to stop/interrupt the boiling
process:
• The appliance switches off automatically after
the water has boiled.
• Press the button again to end the boiling
process.
