Operation
Do not touch the hot parts of the device. If necessary,
you should use an oven cloth and hold the device only by
the handle or the recessed grip.
CAUTION: Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food. All
food must be completely defrosted before cooking it with this product.
1. Connect the mains plug to the wall socket. Verify that the red control lamp
glows.
2.
Select the desired level with the heating level selector. Allow your
appliance to pre-heat until the selected heating level has been reached,
and the green control lamp "Ready" goes off
ready for
use.
Note: The green control lamp "Ready" can repeatedly switch itself on and
off. This means that the programmed temperature has fallen, and the
appliance is automatically heating itself up again!
WARNING: The Cooking Plates and metal surfaces of the unit will become
extremely hot when in use. To avoid a burn hazard, wear heat resistant
mitts or gloves and touch only the side black portion of the unit.
3. Once the green ready light is off, pour crepe batter onto the baking plate
spreading it with a circular movement using the batter spreader.
4. Let the crêpe cook until the surface is no longer liquid and it can be moved
easily.
5. Slide the wooden spatula under the crêpe, lift it up and turn it over.
6. Cook the other side for a short time until done. To check whether it is
ready, use the wooden spatula to lift it slightly. The crêpe should be clearly
cooked, but should not be browned; that way it is easy to fold or roll up.
7. Remove the crêpe from the plate. Put your topping or spread onto the
crêpe and fold or roll it.
8. If the crêpe has turned out a bit too dark, use the temperature control to
reduce the temperature before cooking another crêpe.
