MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY

FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION:
Turn the Power Switch of the tool to its "OFF" position and unplug the tool from its electrical outlet before performing
any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE:
Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Lubrication
1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for leaks, loose screws, misalignment or
binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may
affect its safe operation.
2. AFTER USE, clean external surfaces of the tool with clean cloth.
3. WARNING! If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged, it must be replaced only by a qualified service
technician.
Replacing the Cleaning Solvent
1. When the solvent has become dirty, it will not clean effectively and must be replaced.
2. To drain solvent, place a sturdy container that is large enough to contain at least 20 gallons of solvent under the
Drain Plug (11).
3. Be aware that when the Drain Plug (11) is removed some solvent will be splashed and spilled. Prepare the area to
contain spilled solvent.
4. Remove the Drain Plug (11) by turning it counterclockwise.
5. Solvent will pour out of the Body (7) into the container.
6. When the solvent is all drained, replace the Drain Plug (11) and wipe out the Parts Washer with a clean dry rag.
7. Dispose of the cleaning solvent properly. Check with your local authority for proper disposal method.
Cleaning Parts Washer Components
1. The Flexible Pipe (24), Pump Housing Cover (15), Screen (17) and other components may occasional need to be
cleaned.
2. After draining the Parts Washer of solvent, remove these parts and blow clean with dry compressed air.
3. Wipe the components clean and reinstall before refilling the Parts Washer with clean solvent.
