The Fluval Aquasky LED combines super bright 6500K LEDs with tri-color RGB LEDs to allow the user to adjust,
via an infrared remote controller, the light spectrum in order to replicate various environments; and create such
effects as cloud cover, fading lunar, storm and lightning.
INSTALLATION AND USAGE:
Please verify that all components of the light fixture are undamaged before putting it into operation. Before any
kind of maintenance, always disconnect electrical supply of the light fixture. This appliance was designed for
use over a glass aquarium cover or acrylic top.
• Make sure the light fixture is mounted correctly and securely positioned on the aquarium before operating
the appliance.
• Always ensure that the brackets are on the outside of the aquarium frame. If needed, the extendable
mounting brackets can be adjusted accordingly to ensure proper fit on aquarium.
• Sensor wire from light fixture: remove the adhesive backing from the sensor and affix it to the outside
glass of the aquarium. Position the sensor so that it will have a direct, line-of-sight to your remote.
• Connect the plug from the transformer to the plug on the fixture.
• Connect the transformer to electrical supply.
REMOTE CONTROL:
• Follow "Installation and Usage" instructions.
• Ensure the sensor wire from the LED is positioned so that you have a direct, line-of-sight from the sensor

fish. They are also ideal for using as a "base color" and custom blending your own preferred color spectrum.
To customize:
1. Choose a base color pre-set.
2. Using the arrows on the keypad, add or remove red; green blue or white color by pressing any of the 8
colored arrows (up arrow increases color amount, down arrow decreases color amount).
3. When you reach your preferred custom color, press one of the 4 memory buttons (P1, P2, P3, P4) for 4
seconds. Fixture will flash when complete.
4. Your custom color is now stored within the unit's memory.
MAINTENANCE:
For maximum LED performance, it is recommended that the fixture and the LED lens be cleaned on a weekly
basis. Unplug transformer prior to cleaning the light fixture and remove from aquarium. Use both hands when
manipulating this appliance. Wipe exposed surfaces carefully with a damp cloth to remove any dust or mineral
deposits that may collect over time. Do not use detergents or harsh cleaners as it can damage the light fixture.
Use Fluval LED Lens Cleaning Non-Aerosol Spray (A3969) to clean the LED portion of the light fixture. Make sure
all surfaces are dry before re-connecting the transformer to the power source.
BASIC TROUBLE-SHOOTING:
If the fixture does not work, ensure that all plugs and wires are firmly connected, ie: connection from fixture to
transformer, and connection from transformer to electrical outlet.
