3.2.6. PHOTOCATALYSIS-UVC TOWER

The Photocatalysis-UVC Tower supplied as installed in the DEPURO PRO EVO air purifier
version is the element in charge of inerting the particles captured in the filter during the air
purification process by combining the photocatalytic oxidation technique and the
application of short-wave ultraviolet light.
IMPORTANT: This unit must only be manipulated by qualified personnel for maintenance or
replacement and in no case will it be put into operation if it is not installed inside an equipment.

MANUFACTURING FEATURES

• The Photocatalysis-UVC Tower consists of a base plate with two
side tabs to be able to fasten to the duct. Made of white stainless
steel and with holes for fixing it.
• The holding tabs are next to a stainless steel case containing the
electronic ballasts responsible for operating the UV lamps.
• At the other end is a perforated cylinder that corresponds to the
TiO2 (titanium dioxide) catalyst).
• Inside the catalyst, there is the 15W shortwave ultraviolet light
lamp responsible for emitting the photons.
NOTE: The PHOTOCATALYSIS-UV TOWER does not require specific maintenance. Note that the lamp has an
irradiation life of 8000 ~ 12000 hours.
NOTE: To start the PHOTOCATALYSIS-UVC TOWER follow the steps detailed in the regulator
manual.(REG DEPURO)
ATTENTION: Never start the photocatalysis-UVC tower without first having all the purifier covers
assembled. To verify the correct operation of the lamp, assemble only the HEPA 14 filters (without the pre-
filters) and it will be appreciated if the unit emits light through them or not. For any internal manipulation
of the unit, filters maintenance, etc. Make sure the unit is turned off (not electrically powered) and that the
symbol does not appear activated on the regulator's initial screen.
IMPORTANT: Do not let the ultraviolet light emitted by the photocatalysis equipment directly or indirectly
affect people or animals, since it could cause damage to the eyes and skin.
