10. Operation
To avoid damage connect storage devices only when the smart recorder is
switched off.

To operate the system turn on the smart recorder using the on/off switch
(2).

The power LED (8) lights green.

Switch on the monitor.

The smart recorder can be switched off using the on/off switch.

The default language is German. To change the language do the following:

Call up the task bar [37] with a right mouse click.

Click on

Close the task bar with right mouse clicks.
11. Basic function
11.1 Wireless connectio n
The signals from a maximum of 4 cameras can be received.
The cameras in the set are already paired with the smart recorder as cameras 1
and 2. When a camera is connected with the smart recorder the connection LED
on the camera (3) and on the screen will light. The connection quality is
indicated with up to four bars on the indicator (39).
12.2 Task bar ([37] see fig. C)
Full screen display of camera image1/2/3/4
The image of camera 1/2/3/4 is displayed full screen. Clicking on the image returns to the previous display and this camera is now the current camera.

Quad display
If two cameras are activated the images are displayed side by side, if more are activated these will be displayed in quad. Only the audio of the current camera,
indicated by a red „V" symbol [35] can be heard. To select another camera as current camera, make a left click on this image. Repeated clicks change
between quad and full screen display.
Note:

y selecting manual recording of one camera, only the images from the current camera will be recorded.

Smart quad display
The image of the current camera with red „V" symbol [35] is displayed large and the other camera images smaller to the right. To select another camera as
current camera, make a left click on this image. Only the audio of the current camera can be heard.

Manual recording audio/video from one camera
By clicking this symbol when a camera is shown full screen, this will be recorded, when in quad or smart quad, the current camera with red „V" symbol [35]
will be recorded.
Successive files, each approx. 5 minutes long, will be recorded until the recording is stopped. This happens when the symbol is reclicked, when the main menu

and choose the language desired.
11.2 Screen display
After switching on the monitor or after leaving the screen menu the live picture
from the activated cameras will be displayed in
two cameras left and right, otherwise in the display format selected in the
menu.
After approx. 2 minutes without any mouse click the system will switch to
passive mode
. The passive mode is ended by a mouse click.
If selected in the menu that the screen should switch to
mode
after 5 / 10 minutes, then after a further 3 or 8 minutes respectively (5
or 10 minutes after the last mouse click) the screen will switch off. The screen
will automatically switch on after a mouse click, a detected motion or the start
of scheduled recording.
11.3 Current camera
In active mode the current camera is marked with a red „V" symbol [35].
During display of live images only the audio from the current camera can be
heard.
To select another camera as current camera click on the desired image.
By repeatedly clicking on the current camera image the display changes
between full screen of the current camera and the preselected display.
12. Screen menu
12.1 Mouse operation

Call up the task bar [37] with a right mouse click.

Select and change settings with a left mouse click.
!
Go back one step or close the task bar with a right mouse click. If a setting
has been changed then the screen will show „Storing data, please wait..."
for a few seconds.
