When using electrical appliances, basic
safety precautions should always be fol-
lowed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Completely remove any packing materials, includ-
ing plastic element coverings, cardboard and plastic
bags before use.
3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
4. To protect against electrical hazards, do not im-
merse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or any
liquid.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appli-
ance is used near children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, re-
pair or adjustment.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recom-
mended by the appliance manufacturer may cause in-
juries.
9. Not intended for outdoor use.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or
counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an
appliance containing hot liquids.
13. Always plug electric cord into wall outlet before
turning on power. To disconnect, turn power to
"OFF", then remove plug from wall outlet.
14. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
15. Keep the unit at a safe distance from curtains,
cleaning fluids, or any flammable or other easily ig-

Grounded 3-pronG pluG
This appliance has a grounded 3-prong plug as a safety feature, this plug fits in a grounded outlet only one
way. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
eleCTrICAl Cord
The cord of this appliance was selected to reduce the possibility of tangling in or tripping over a longer
cord. Longer power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use. If an extension cord is used: (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the product; (2) the extension cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children
or pets.

Connect your new Buffet Range to a 120 volt, 60
hertz wall receptacle only. This appliance has a high
