Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the
•
power supply and has cooled down completely.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with
•
water and do not immerse it in water.
Every time the appliance is used, the main body including the power
•
cord as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly
for any defects.
Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard
•
surface, or if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord, it
must no longer be used even invisible damage may have adverse
effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
Take care that neither the housing nor the cable gets in touch with
•
hot surfaces such as the hot plates of an electric stove, or with a hot
gas flame.
Never operate the coffee grinder when it is empty, i.e. without coffee

beans.
Caution: The blade will not immediately stop to move when the
•
appliance is switched off. Take care not to touch the rotating blade.
Caution: the blade is extremely sharp. To prevent injuries, take special

care when cleaning the appliance and when emptying the
container.
Always remove the plug from the wall socket - before assembling the

appliance, - after use, - in case of any malfunction, - before opening
the bean container, and - before cleaning the appliance.
Do not unplug the appliance from the mains supply socket by pulling

on the mains lead. Remove by grasping the plug.
Take care that the mains lead does not trail over the front of the work
•
surface on which the coffee grinder is set up.
