Instructions
Read and follow the safety instructions and instructions carefully before

use. Before assembling, you should familiarize yourself with the individual

parts, carefully separate them and, if necessary, e.g. deburr with a small file

and fine emery paper. Loose plastic particles can adhere to the internal

surfaces. After separating the individual parts, we recommend cleaning the

parts with lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush. Then rinse with clear
water and let it dry well. Polyamide is dissolved from methanoic acid (cauti-
on: caustic!) and can be glued with it. Otherwise contact adhesives (e.g.
Uhu® all-purpose adhesive strong, apply thinly on both sides and allow to
flash off) are suitable as well as 2-component epoxy resin and superglue.
The latter are also suitable for bonding with metal, e.g. Handle bars and
accessories. This kit has been carefully packed. Should a part still be mis-
sing, you can request it directly from DeskTop Locomotive Works® by sen-
ding in these instructions with the part number (see below).
Content
1x 91201-1 molded part with sleepers, lever holder, swivel joint, joint for
sleeper, hold-down, 1 right and left hand sleeper, filing device
1x SCH010-1 microswitch
1x MAN91201 instructions and safety instructions
You will also need:
1x rail profile code 143 PECO IL-7FB
1x lever Modellbauwerkstatt Bertram Heyn No. 05905 or 05906
Approx.. 20 cm thin wire
Assembly
1. Separate individual parts from the molding.
2. Deburr individual parts. Completely remove the lugs on the connecting
bars.
3. Print out drawing 1: 1 and stick on a board 200 x 200 mm, at least 10
mm thick.
4. Set the side for the control lever and cut out the gray areas. Check with
the large sleeper piece and the adjusting lever holder whether this fits
into the openings, rework if necessary.
5. Paint parts as desired.
6. Cut 2 profiles to 191 mm and carefully deburr the ends.
7. Angle the profiles sharply by 40 ° from one end by 7.5 °. Angle both
stock rails in opposite directions.
8. Insert a profile in the appropriate groove of the filing device and fix it with
a clamp. The corner in the rail foot must be 5.6 mm from the edge of the
filing device.
9. File the rail profile flush to the filing device, then produce the second
stock rail.
10. Push the long side of the stock rails into the rail chairs, first the 46 mm
threshold, then the 4 thresholds, then the 71.5 mm threshold and finally
the 37.5 mm threshold. Ensure correct position, the rail chairs are
mounted at an angle on the sleepers and the 37.5 mm sleepers are
asymmetrical (smaller distance of the rail chairs to the end of the sleeper
point to the center of the turnout).
11. 2 Push the 40 mm sleepers onto the stock rails from the short side
12. Align sleepers and tracks on the route board and clamp them. Don't
glue anything yet!
13. Cut the 64.5 mm long profiles to length and deburr them carefully. The-
se are the track exits.
14. Push profiles onto the sleepers until they are about 1.5 mm apart at the
rail foot in the middle of the switch.
15. Align sleepers and tracks according to the drawing and check the spac-
ing of the profiles - target dimension 16.6 mm
16. Use super glue to glue the profiles to the rail chairs with the sleepers
17. Solder the leads to the microswitch and clip the microswitch into the
holder under the thresholds
18. Cut a 85.6 mm profile to length for the tongue and carefully
deburr it
19. File the end of the profile on both sides using the filing device
20. Solder a thin wire with an outer diameter of max. 0.5 mm on
the blunt side in the middle under the profile, distance 4 - 5
mm from the end of the profile
21. Thread the wire from above through the swivel joint and
push the profile into the rail chairs

22.Push the joint for the threshold and hold-down device from the
pointed side onto the tongue. Pay attention to the correct position of
the hold-down device.
23.Use adjustment threshold, pay attention to correct position
24.Clip the tongue into the pivot point and the adjustment threshold
25.Align the tongue, it must move easily over the adjustment threshold
and must not jam, rework if necessary
26. Check the function of the microswitch
27. Glue tongue with joints and hold-down with super glue
28. Glue the lever holder to the sleepers with contact or 2K epoxy adhesive
29. Mount the lever with 2x M2x14 on the lever holder
30. Screw the adjustment threshold to the adjustment lever. The connection
must remain flexible. Secure the nut with superglue
31. Check the function again, then glue the switch to the base board with
contact cement
32. Make electrical connections, the microswitch switches the polarity of
the tongue
33. Paint the rail profiles as desired and ballast the switch, pay attention to
the mobility of the parts
