Install the bathtub
Installation du bain
If you do not have acces from the room below:
- Before placing the bathtub, insert the male part of the expansion joint (3) halfway to the
femalle part.
- Place the bathtub by raising it up 3 1/2" with 4x4 pieces of lumber in order to access
from the bottom of the bathtub. Align the drain to the expansion joint (fig.4). From the
bottom of the bathtub, tighten the collars of the expansion joint to drain (do not forget
to use the seal washer in between). Tighten the collars of the expansion joint just tight
enough that male part can still slide in (fig.4).
Si vous n'avez pas d'accès à l'étage en dessous :

Avant de placer le bain, insérer partiellement la partie mâle (3) du joint de dilatation
dans la partie femelle.
- Mettre le bain en place en surélevant le bain de 3 1/2" à l'aide de madriers 4x4.
Cela vous donne un accès sous le bain pour le raccordement du drain. Aligner le
drain avec le joint de dilatation (Fig.4). Sous le bain, serrer la bague du joint de
dilatation au drain (ne pas oublier la rondelle d'étanchéité). Serrer les bagues du
joint de dilatation, juste assez pour permettre à la partie mâle de glisser dans la
partie femelle (Fig.4).

- Move the bathtub down slowly by
removing the pieces of lumber.
- Fill the bathtub with water and let it
drain out. Make sure that all the joints
are watertight.
- Descendre le bain lentement en retirant
les madriers.
- Remplir le bain d'eau et ensuite le
vider. S'assurer que tous les joints
sont étanches.
