Mattress replacement
The Vhenus 2 foam mattresses offer pressure reduction in a choice of systems: Vhenus 2, which
fits snuggly on to the bed frame and Vhenus 2 CB, which has corner reliefs for equipment poles.
All Vhenus 2 mattress replacements comprise of a rapid contouring, reversible, high resilience
polyurethane foam core with a 2-way stretch, water resistant, vapour permeable cover.
Clinical applications
Indications for Use
Indicated for patients weighing up to 130 kg
(286 lb) and are suitable for the prevention of
pressure ulcers.
Note: These are guidelines only and should
not replace clinical experience or judgment.
If there is no improvement in the patient's
condition, specialist advice should be sought.
WARNING
The cover of this product is vapour permeable but
not air permeable and may present a suffocation
risk. It is the responsibility of the care giver to
ensure that the user can use this product safely.
Serious Incident
If a serious incident occurs in relation to
this medical device, affecting the user, or
the patient then the user or patient should
report the serious incident to the medical
device manufacturer or the distributor. In
the European Union, the user should also
report the serious incident to the Competent
Authority in the member state where they are
located.

Instructions for Use
1.
Remove all packaging.
2.
Lay the Vhenus 2 mattress replacement
onto the bed frame, ensuring that there
are no sharp edges which may rip the
cover.
3.
Ensure that the correct month is showing
on the TURNTABLE
end of the mattress. If the correct month
is not showing, rotate or turn the mattress
so that the correct month is at the foot
end. Months are indicated as follows:
1/12 = January
2/12 = February, etc.
4.
Use the TURNTABLE
guide for the monthly rotation. This helps
to even out the wear of the mattress and
to extend the life of the product.
Do not use the mattress without a cover. It provides
a protective barrier against biological contamination
of the foam.
Decontamination
To Clean the Cover
Wipe all exposed surfaces with a cloth which
has been moistened in simple detergent and
water. Ensure to remove any organic debris
that may be adherent to the surfaces. Dry
thoroughly.
