The Schapfix Icepack & Compression brace provides fast and effective treatment. The cold
reduces pain and the compression pump that is included can provide manually operated
two-part compression. Compression provides protection; preventing uncontrolled haemorrhaging
into the tissues and minimising swelling. Practical Velcro straps perfectly connect the ice pack
to the compression component. The gel cushion is manufactured from drip-free material and is
freeze proof; it can be placed directly onto the skin. These products are ideally suited for sports
clubs and sports therapists.
Instructions for use
1. Place the slow-flow-gel cushion in cooling (refrigerator), where it can remain 24/7 and be ready
for use. For extra cold temperatures, the gel cushion can be placed in the freezer for a maximum
of up to 2 hours before use.
2. To use the gel cushion, remove it from the refrigerator and attach the compression part by the
Velcro strap at the bottom. Attach the small pump for compression. Use ON/OFF to operate the
valve. In case of hypersensitivity to cold use a protective cloth. Before use, ensure that the skin is
clean (free from creams, lotions or other products).
3. Clean the gel cushion after use; preferably with a cloth and 70% alcohol. Then rinse with water
and dry thoroughly before placing back in the refrigerator/cooler.
Tip
Mild cold (up to 3 °C) sometimes helps better after the acute phase than severe cold (-18 °C).
WARNING
The cold therapy system should not be too tight to prevent blood circulation.
Application time per application not longer than 20 minutes. In the acute phase of posttraumatic
(sports injuries) or postoperative conditions. No more than 10 minutes. After 30 minutes again.
Use a cloth in case of sensitivity to cold. For the use of cold therapy, please consult with your
doctor or physiotherapist.
Not suitable for heat therapy.
Do not wear on open wounds or if you have a tendency to skin disorder,
allergic reaction or circulatory disorder.

- A combination with other products must be discussed in advance with the doctor.
