ABRASIVE BLASTING PRECAUTIONS
DANGER! Do not use sand or silicate particulate dust
as an abrasive. Sand or silica particulate dust can
result in the lethal lung disease known as silicosis,
when inhaled over a period of time as short as several
weeks or as long as 5 to 10 years. Silicosis causes
shortness of breath, cough, fever and bluish skin
(cyanosis). Seek immediate medical attention if these
symptoms appear. Silicosis can kill you if untreated.
