RHFE-201FA CONVERSION
1. Hold both ends of the bottom cover(Undercover ass'y) and
pull toward you to remove the cover. Cover snaps in place.
(See Fig. #1)
2. Remove the (7) screws that hold the front panel and the
louver ass'y to remove panel from the unit. Pull the panel
out at the bottom about (4") and lift up over clips that hold it
in place at the unit's top. (See Fig. #1 & #2)
3. Remove (1) screw from the overheat switch mounting plate.
Place bracket and switch to the side out of your way.(See
Fig. #3)
4. Remove the nozzle manifold (2) screws. Then replace all
(2) orifices with the proper size for gas type to be used.
(See fig. #3 & #4)
Refer to technical data on page #1 under gas conversion
specifications for proper orifices size for model of unit being
converted.
5. Remove damper inside burner (1) screw. Then pull the
damper and secondary air damper out and replace with
proper size damper.(See Fig. #4)
Refer to page #1 under gas conversion for proper damper
size to be used for model number being converted.
6. Ensure proper relationship of electrode and flame rod to the
burner. (See Fig.#5)
7. Gas pressure MUST be readjusted when converting from
one gas type to the other. Follow the procedure below when
setting pressures.
GAS PRESSURE SETTING AND ADJUSTMENT
1. Turn the appliance to the off position.
2. Remove two test point screws 1/8 NPT tap with 3/16
Allen wrench and connect manometer pressure gauge.
3. When unit completely stops operating, press the "SW1" test
switch at the top of the PC board until it beeps.(See Fig. #6)
4. Select the correct gas type code to appear on the
LED display using "
Current selected gas type code will be indicated.
See Page 3 for descriptions.(See Fig. #7)
L1: Propane gas units at normal altitude.
L2: Propane gas units at high altitude.
A1: Natural gas units at normal altitude.
A2: Natural gas units at high altitude.
