1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1
GENERAL
The Model 1U1000 Amplifier is a self-contained broadband unit designed for laboratory applications where
instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and moderate power output are required. Solid state technology issued
exclusively to offer significant advantages in reliability and cost. A Model 1U1000 used with a frequency swept
signal source will provide 1 watt of linear swept power output from .01-1000MHz. Typical applications include
antenna and component testing, wattmeter calibration, EMI susceptibility testing, use as a driver for frequency
multipliers and high power amplifiers and as an RF source for magnetic resonance imaging studies.
1.2
POWER SUPPLIES
The Model 1U1000 contains two switching power supply. The input voltage range to the power supply is 90–
264 VAC, 50/60Hz, selected automatically. The AC input power is approximately 50 watts.
PS1 is a multiple output supply. The main +15V, 2.5A supplies voltage to the A1 module. The –15 volts DC
is supplied to the A1 module.
PS2 is a single output supply which provides +24.0VDC to the A1 module
