Setting up the device for use

Choose a suitable location to set up the device: a dry, flat, non-slip surface that is easy
to use.
•
Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation when using the device.
•
Remove the protective film from the screen if it is present.
Power supply
•
Make sure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on the model's rating plate.
•
Unwind and connect the power cord provided (check inside the battery compartment,
if necessary) to the power input at the back of the machine and to a properly installed
power socket.
Inserting the batteries (not included)

Open the battery compartment cover.

Insert 6 LR14 ("C" size) 1.5 V batteries. Make sure that the polarity is correct (check the
markings on the bottom of the battery compartment)!

Then close the battery compartment cover.

Use the batteries correctly to avoid injury or fire caused by leakage, overheating,
explosion, erosion or other damage.

Store and keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children or other vulnerable
people. If the battery compartment does not close properly, stop using the product.

If the liquid from an alkaline battery comes into contact with your skin and/or eyes,
immediately rinse them with clean water and seek medical attention. If alkaline battery
fluid leaks, wipe off the fluid with a cloth and replace the battery with a new one.
Do not swallow the battery(ies). If swallowed, a button cell battery can cause severe
internal burns in 2 hours and can cause death. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a
poison centre immediately and seek medical attention.
