Possible Cause
Gas valve may be off
Gas tank may be empty
Orifice may be blocked
Air is within supply system
Debris around pilot
Loose connection
Thermocouple is bad
Gas leak within the line
Lack of gas pressure
Orifice may be blocked
Control knob isn't on
Thermocouple is bad
Pilot light assembly is bent or not in
the correct location
Solution
Turn the gas valve on
Refill the gas tank
Clean out the orifice
Pump out air from all lines
Clear debris
Check all fittings and tighten connections as
necessary
Call for a replacement part and replace the
thermocouple
Check all connections; call for a replacement part
if anything is damaged
Gas tank is almost empty
Clean out the orifice
Turn the control knob on
Call for a replacement part and replace the
thermocouple
Place pilot light in the correct location and retry
lighting procedure
