INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please read before removing old
compressor.
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
2. This kit is to be used when replacing Tecumseh
compressors on refrigerators and freezers. In the
manufacture of the product at the factory, the lines going
into the compressor stubs on the high side are sized down
to fit inside the compressor stubs. In cutting off the lines
for service replacement, it is necessary to use one or
more of the extensions supplied. It will be necessary to
bend the extensions to the shape of the existing tubing
before cutting out the old compressor.
3. The various compressors are shown below, with the
placement of the extensions shown.
4. In cases where there is no oil cooler, leave the rubber
plugs on the replacement compressor. The rubber plugs
prevent dust from entering during shipment and they will
stay in place since the oil cooler loop is not pressurized
during unit operation.

5. On models using the compressors where no oil cooler is
used, connect condenser inlet line to discharge stub, and
leave oil cooler stubs on service compressor plugged.
6. When using type I compressor on Models EWD25PM or
EXD25PM, disregard electrical components supplied with
compressor, and reuse the original parts.
7. Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.
